Who here hasn’t heard of the trending Sunflower Farm in Tupi? Yes! The Mariano’s Blooming Petals. A lot of my friends talking about the Sunflower and like 80% of my Facebook friends were talking and are still talking about it until today. I am fond of flowers and plant pero di ko naisip na pumunta sa farm until nakita ko na everyday para bang may campaign para sa sunflower. So, we tried to go there and the excitement starts to hug me as the days run by. The first thing I did is to know how would I get there. And luckily that Ivan Carl is from Tupi, South Cotabato where the Sun Flower Farm is located and more luckily na ang owner ng Blooming Petals ay Family Friend nila. Yaaaaay! So, here how…(If you are from General Santos City)
•From General Santos – Tupi 50.00
•Tricycle to Blooming Petals – 10.00
• Entrance at Blooming Petals – 50/Kids | 70/Adults
The ride will just take you 45 minutes if you are from General Santos. Sa entrance pa lang ng place feel ko na ang excitement. Flowers is life. Pacifier. Now I know why my mom and her mom loves planting. The moment we reached the aisle bumungad na ang mga sunflower. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!! I have never used that word before because I have not been to anything amazing yet until I visited the Sunflower Farm!!! AMAZING!!! SUPERB!!! The place is so relaxing!
At madami pa palang klase ng plant ang nandon maliban sa sunflower. They also have green leafy veggies like lettuce and fruits like Papaya and More…
The best amazing thing that I have learned about Sunflower is that “The flower is facing only one direction where the Sun is…” WOW! It was really a big mystery to me when I saw the sunflowers facing only one direction and it triggered me to ask Carl “Why are they facing one direction? How would the farmer who planted the seeds know that the sunflower will face here or there?”. HAHAHA. I was so innocent! But now I know. Thanks to Carl’s mom for solving the mystery. You can also visit the uphill part of the farm if you want to see it from the top view. It is a bit amazing because you won’t notice the maze-like pattern of the Sunflower Field unless you go and see it from the top.
They also have Aviary Farm but you have to pay another 50 Pesos for the entrance fee. The place has a cafeteria if ever you feel hungry. They also have playground for all and not only for kids.
The parking lot is wide enough to cater owned vehicles. There are also Vehicles-for-Hire if ever you are a commuter. If ever you want to walk from the farm to High-Way (main road) there will be no worries for the distance is good for walking. THIS IS A MUST VISIT PLACE IF YOU WANT TO RETREAT FROM THE URBAN LIFE. They have also flower services.
You can visit their Facebook page if you have any inquiries.
